Charity Partners

We are proud to partner with the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Australia & Northern Territory, sHedway, and Fat Farmers as the official charity partners for LambEx26.

Each organisation delivers vital support to the people behind our industry. Their shared focus on wellbeing, connection and resilience speaks directly to the heart of the sheep industry and the communities that sustain it.

LambEx has always been about people as much as progress. By supporting RFDS SA/NT, sHedway and Fat Farmers, we acknowledge the importance of looking out for one another and giving back to those who show up for our industry every day. We are deeply grateful for the work these organisations do and are proud to stand alongside them at LambEx26 as we come together to make a positive difference.

Together, small actions add up to lasting impact.

sHedway is a grassroots health promotion charity for suicide prevention and mental fitness in the shearing sheds of Australia. Founded in 2023 by nurse-turned-shearer Carol Mudford (2025 AgriFutures National Rural Women's Award winner) and based in Dubbo NSW, sHedway operates nationally to break stigma and share the skills of suicide prevention. The growing team of sHedway Champions are volunteers from the shearing sheds, trained by sHedway to hold stalls and run workshops throughout the shearing and wool industry. The team have held over 160 events across Australia, and in 2026 also took workshops to New Zealand for the Golden Shears World Championships. Follow their journey at www.shedway.org.au

Since 1939, the Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT (RFDS) has been a lifeline for South Australians and Territorians, delivering world-class emergency aeromedical and primary health care to around 50,000 people every year – one patient every 10 minutes. From life-saving evacuations to fly-in clinics and digital health solutions, the organisation brings essential care to the most isolated corners of the country. The RFDS is a for-purpose organisation and relies on fundraising and donations to bridge the gap in operational funding and to purchase its 'flying intensive care units’.

Fat Farmers: Rural Health Initiative, incorporating Active Farmers, is a grassroots organisation dedicated to improving the physical health and wellbeing of rural Australians. Founded in 2012, with Fat Farmers starting in SA and Active Farmers in NSW, both were created to foster connection and community, in what is otherwise a very isolating industry. Today, the organisation has grown into a nationwide network of fitness groups across more than 80 rural and regional towns. Staying consistently active has proven benefits to mental health, and often sparks open conversations about life on the land. The mission is simple: build connection and better wellbeing in rural communities.
