LambEx 2024 Program release
The world’s biggest sheep, lamb and wool forum, LambEx is returning to the fold with a powerful bang, releasing an impressive and supersized program that is designed to inspire, advocate and innovate.
LambEx 2024 to be held 7-9 August 2024 in Adelaide, encompasses the whole supply chain for Australia's sheep, lamb & wool industry from producers, processors, research & development and exporters from food and fibre sectors.
“The LambEx 2024 program is BIG. It features headline acts, global pioneers, industry innovators, thought-leaders, disruptors and personalities to shape a blockbuster schedule and format that we are confident will get sheep peeps excited,” said LambEx Chair and South Australian sheep producer Jason Schulz.
“This program has been years in the making and the LambEx Organising Committee have had robust debate via an extensive process to explore every angle and curate a program that we believe compels members of Australia and international sheep, lamb and wool industries to attend,” he said.
“The 2024 line-up is decidedly pointed to generate conversations about issues of urgency facing the Australian industry and designed to propel advancement of collective thinking that will take our industry forward with purpose,” he said.
“Australia is a world leader in sheep with a global reputation, being the largest exporter of commercial lamb and one of the world’s largest wool producers. So, it makes sense we also lead from the front in showcasing the best of our industry to our own members and those from abroad, being LambEx24,” he said.
“The LambEx program unpacks the industry starting from the top with headline acts Global AgriTrends Founder Brett Stuart, Food Scientist Dr Anneline Padayachee, ZQ Merino CEO Angus Street and British ag commentator Clare Taylor before delving down into key operational takeaways in breakout sessions including a special French Butchery Masterclass with local Adelaide restauranteur and bold chef Duncan Welgemoed,” said Jason.
“A definite feature promises to be the brilliance of internationally acclaimed journalist and Australian First Nations trailblazer, the esteemed Stan Grant who will dissect the Australian sheep, lamb & wool industry starting with an oration on 'Matters of Currency' in Australia before delving into the nitty gritty of the sheep sector with industry thought-leaders and disruptors,” he said.

“There is so much happening in the plenary room and a bursting trade floor that delegates will need an extra boost of adrenalin to get themselves through the absolutely jam-packed LambEx24 schedule,” said Jason.
“Starting Wednesday with a Schoolies Hour of Power through to Tech Talks, Breakfast Seminars, two days of plenary sessions with high profile keynotes, lamb feasting, live sheep, signature social functions and culminating Friday with AFL football at Adelaide Oval, there really is no other place to be than LambEx24 in August,” said Jason.
“I urge that if you are involved in Australia’s sheep industry then you need to check out the program – I am confident you will find elements that will spark your interest, engage your curiosity and inspire you to attend,” he said.
“Regardless where you sit on the production spectrum… a lamb or wool producer, a processor, scientist, industry body, butcher or exporter, LambEx is the place to congregate, discuss, debate and explore the future evolution and potential of Australia’s sheep industry,” he said.
